Who is he?

Alexander Brun, MD, is a board-certified specialist in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He serves the communities of Brooklyn, Staten Island, and the Bronx, New York, at Triborough GI. Dr. Brun has completed and published extensive research in his field, utilizing this knowledge to better treat his patients. He frequently treats patients for irritable bowel syndrome, acid reflux disease, celiac disease, and general abdominal pain.

Dr. Brun has an extensive educational background in medicine. He earned his medical degree in 2005 at State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine in Brooklyn. He then moved to East Garden City, New York, to complete his fellowship residency in gastroenterology at the acclaimed Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine. Then, he completed a residency in internal medicine at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

At Triborough GI, Dr. Brun uses top-of-the-line diagnostic tools and treatments to treat each of his patients. He ensures that they are confident in the care that they receive, taking the time to explain their conditions and the procedures that will most likely get them back to health. He is fluent in both English and Russian and has been recognized internationally for his research in gastrointestinal bleeding and neonatal gastroenterology.
